Self Portraits
A portrait can be a photograph or a painting of yourself or indeed someone else. To capture a portrait of yourself in a moment in time. That day, what you were wearing, how you hair was that day capturing you or your subject in that moment.
These are some of the pictures we have been taking today in and around the college with natural light and using the studio.

Edited in Photoshop using the history tool and then sharpening my eyes and hair.
I have edited some of the images in photoshop and then printed one of. These are my screen shoots to show what I had done to change the image slightly.
When taking this
picture I set my camera up on the tripod and adjusted the settings to Auto
Focus, ISO 400 aperture F.8 & the shutter speed was at 125th of a second. I
set the camera on timer for 30 seconds so that I could get in position and take
the picture myself. If I'm taking pictures of myself I would try to make them
look happy or funny. This shows my personality more and reflects on the person
that I am or the person friends & family know me as.
While we was in the
studio yesterday we got to have a go at Light trails t do this we had to set
the camera settings to. ISO 100, Aperture F.11 with a 30 second exposure time.
We turned all the lights of so and I used a small light from the end of a
lighter for the light trail. I had a great time doing this and had the
opportunity to try lots of different ideas as we was working in pairs or groups
and bounced ideas of each other.
Yaaaaaaaaaaa!
This one below is one I took of myself in the studio and I have then sharpened it and put some inspirational words next to it.
The spooky picture was done using the light trails and the I have edited it later in photoshop. I don't like this picture of myself at all! I have used the red and the black from the light to make a boarder around the picture and put some words underneath.
